Experience one of Florence’s most remarkable churches at your own pace using an in-app audio tour created by a local guide. The tour begins on the square in front of the church and winds through its beautiful interiors, ending in the monks’ dining room. As you walk through the church, you will discover stories of Renaissance art, Franciscan faith, and spirituality. Admire the typical floorplan, richly decorated chapels, and the sacristy, all adorned with frescoes, paintings, and sculptures. The Pazzi Chapel, Cimabue Cross, and the monks’ dining room are highlights that reveal the church’s unique artistic and historical significance.

The church also holds monumental tombs of Italy’s greatest figures, including Dante, Machiavelli, Galileo Galilei, and Michelangelo. The tour offers a deep understanding of the religious and cultural heritage preserved in Florence. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, with no admission after 5 pm. On Sundays and religious holidays, including Epiphany, Assumption, All Saints, and Immaculate Conception, the church is open from 12:30 pm to 5:45 pm. Tickets must be purchased at the entrance office, as the tour does not cover admission. The audio tour allows you to explore at your own speed while learning fascinating details about the church’s art, architecture, and history.
