Plenty of space beds clean bedding clean shower hot and good pressure value for money but could do with a deep clean of sofas and carpets as stained with blood and i'm not sure what else and toilet seat needs replacing stains on curtains in bedroom and toaster melted plastic on it needs replacing. no parking next to caravan and no pathed areas to walk from parking area to caraven so have to walk through the grassed area with no pathway which is muddy when wet and no lights to see where you are going also dog poo on grass aswell but would say with a deep clean very good value for money also entrance very iffy at best of times

Most people here are just moan moan moan. Your holidaying in wales. Golden sands a north West institution thats been around for years and years. I used to care for people who came here as children and are in there 90s!! ( before i swapped jobs) This place holds a special place in my heart not only for the photos I take to see the smile back home on my ex residents faces, but for my children, my cousins children and my nan who brought her children many years ago. Yes it is outdated and older. But you know what go to haven and parkdean. Its just a wonderful place with fantastic staff. Cooper loves the entertainment staff, especially jess and charli and there is one more blonde lady I forget her name and she is always doing activities with coops. The bar staff are great we have been that many times they now ask us for an owners card! The people in the chip shop never get credit. There is an older lady with glasses who literally runs the show, shes amazing. As for seagulls walking and squalking at all hours, guess what...you're by the sea you absolute fool. Also for those complaining going on about access for elderly and Infirm was this mentioned upon your booking as my nan has never had an issue. Keep up the good work golden sands. It's sure we will be back next year!

Overall a okay site, but i won't be back. We booked as needed a caravan not to far from home for the weekend to take the kids to. We thought we would treat ourselves and book Luxry caravan- the caravan was anything but that - dirty carpets, seating, beds you could feel every spring, mud outside the door, patio door didnt lock (had to get maintenance out to force it to lock). Bathroom doors didnt lock or close properly, we did mention this to maintained man who came and he said its not a issue... Overall been on other sites with better caravans at a lower model range. Entertainment to be fair was very good, food on site is very expensive, but tasted nice!. Football pitch & Play area good. Staff in where you get food where super friendly and did apologise about the wait for food, but we had no issues with that. Staff on reception on check in was okay - on check out just rude. They have a box on the desk to drop the key into, I looked at her and smiled as I placed the key in, thinking I would get asked about my stay or a simple thank you. Nothing, I got a stare and nothing else. So I didnt see the point in raising what I found, after how the door got "fixed" I couldn't be bothered to raise anything else with them. I left this feedback on the survey they sent to me. I spent a few days thinking should I even bother to review the site, but felt it had good points, but don't go there if you want a nice caravan, we spent over £260 for 2 nights for the caravan and it was terrible. I have been in miles better ones at Haven for £49 for 3 nights.

Caravan was clean but lacking some essential equipment and the access steps were not suitable for the elderly or infirm (or our dogs). We were in caravan M9 which was supposed to be a superior caravan. We have owned and stayed in better ones. The facilities are not adequate for the size of the site and food was expensive and not of a great quality. During our stay one bar didn't open until 4pm and the other one 7pm during the week and the fish and chip shop only opened three nights for 5pm to 10pm. Not a park we will return to.

14 other family members including myself ventured here on a 3 day expedition to explore North Wales. Plenty of memories were made, many which will last a lifetime. However, for the price we paid (£1670) for two ‘superior and deluxe caravans’ the facilities and comfort levels was well below our expectations. For starters, the single beds were only 35 cm wide and even the little kids found it difficult to sleep. Secondly, only 3 small towels were provided for 8 guests housed in each caravan. Third, one of the refrigerator drawers was broken which meant there was so much frost building up that we could not store anything. Four, each swimming slot lasted only 45 minutes. For the amount of money we paid we felt that duration was not enough. In fact we enjoyed SS2 (located 7 minutes away from the holiday park) far more despite having to pocket out the tickets. Five, if you intend on sleeping beyond 6am I’m afraid that won’t happy given the noise the seagulls make as they walk on the caravan roof the noise of their screeching feet will surely leave you annoyed. The neighbours around our caravan were friendly despite a few - I had one local resident yell at my daughter while she was foraging for her toy, she was asked not to touch her garden ornaments. Six, the TV provided was rubbish, just a few local to channels and that was it. Seven, the exhaust in the bathroom was not working which meant the bathroom was misty and full of condensation (despite having the windows open) which left it smelling bad after we returned later in the day. Despite these negatives, the staff was friendly. The facilities could have been much better and hence the 2 stars!
