The Lava Show is a super cool and unique experience! This is a fantastic way to learn about lava and actually see it in person 🔥 The "backstage" tour adds another layer of interest, giving you a close look at the machine behind the show. It’s also a great example of how sustainable energy can power engaging, educational experiences. You will also find a cafe/bar and a store to buy souvenirs…Totally recommended! 🌋

Excellent 45 minute show, consists of an intro, film of Icelands volcanic history to present day & then the pouring of recreated lava. Could feel the heat whilst that was taking place. Interesting explanations of what was happening. Adjoining the cinema like area (80 approx capacity+balcony) where the lava show takes place is a small bar, they serve coffee too & have a decent sized shop making it worthwhile arriving half an hour before the show.

The lava show was a cool experience. They would explain what they were doing and important things to know while putting on a cool show. Would recommend checking it out. The show itself if only about 45 minutes and is pretty far from downtown but you can take the city bus and it'll drop you a minute from the lava show.

The lava show was brilliant! I was a bit sceptical beforehand about whether it would be worth the money, but thoroughly enjoyed it! The video at the start was really interesting, and seeing real molton lava was such a unique and amazing experience! It was really fascinating, jaw-dropping and I highly recommend doing this while in Reykjavik!

I got the premium ticket and was directed to the upstairs bar to enjoy a tasty drink that was included. I got the Magma Mule which was just Icelandic vodka and ginger beer; VERY tasty. One thing: I didn't realize that we could bring our drinks into the show. I drank half my cocktail relatively quickly, so I was STRUGGLING during the long intro video. Normally I would be into it and learning about volcanoes, but I was too lit to focus. LOL I had fun either way! When it was time for the lava to come out I was wide awake again. Our host, Ian, did a great job educating us (as was expected from a former teacher) and throwing in dad jokes. Very cool seeing lava in action and learning about its properties. If you're into geology, def check it out. We also got a piece of the volcanic glass after the show.
