Your adventure begins at the historic site of Tlatelolco, where you'll receive an engaging introduction to the three major periods of Mexican history: pre-Hispanic, colonial, and modern. This important archaeological zone was once a powerful Aztec market and civic center, and today it serves as a symbolic place that connects ancient culture with more recent events in Mexican history. With your guide, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how these historical layers are interwoven into the city’s identity, setting the stage for the rest of your journey.
Next, you'll travel to the awe-inspiring archaeological site of Teotihuacan, known as “the place where the gods were born.” As you walk along the grand Avenue of the Dead, you'll explore its most iconic structures, including the Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon, and other ceremonial complexes. After immersing yourself in the mysteries of this ancient city, you'll enjoy a traditional Mexican lunch at a local restaurant. On the return to Mexico City, you’ll stop for a 45-minute visit at the Basilica of Guadalupe, Mexico’s most important religious sanctuary. Here, you'll learn about the Virgin of Guadalupe and how religious devotion has created a powerful cultural and spiritual blend known as religious syncretism.

Amazing tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide (Massiel) and our driver Eduardo. They took us to the pyramids in Teotihuacán and to the basilica. Well worth the money, thank you so much guys.

Excellent tour! We did a private tour with Raúl and visited the Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe and the Teotihuacán Pyramids with stops in between to see different sites. Very informative and was an amazing experience to see the beautiful sites of Mexico. It was a full day adventure and it was in English and Spanish. Recommended walking shoes! I would highly recommend doing this tour! Family friendly!

Cannot say enough good things about it: Coyoacan & Xochimilco. Massiiel the guide is extremely knowledgeable and personable and cared about the comfort of each of us. We learned and experienced so much. Highly recommend it.

Awesome experience! I highly recommend. We had Arturo as a guide and Bulmaro as a driver. They were punctual and amiable. We did the Teotihuacan and Basílica tour, all day. The Basilics and Pyramids are impressive, it gave us a change of scene. Arturo told us about the Mexican history, the basilics and the pyramids, it was very interesting. He also took many pictures of us. Finally, Bulmaro drives well, we felt safe all along the road.

I highly recommend this activity as a must-do for anyone visiting Mexico City. I booked my tour through toursbylocals and was fortunate enough to have an incredibly helpful and informative guide named Arturo Ramirez. The tour was fantastic, professional, and Arturo’s English was fluent. Since I was on a multi-lingual tour, I felt very accommodated and well-cared for. As someone with a limited understanding of Meso-American culture, I was impressed by Arturo’s extensive knowledge and fascinating insights. The pyramids themselves are awe-inspiring, and photographs simply cannot capture their grandeur. The basilica stood out as an intriguing juxtaposition of modern Mexican architecture and European colonial architecture. I cannot recommend this specific tour more highly. The value for money was excellent, the guide was superb, and I firmly believe that Teotihuacan is a must-see destination for any traveler visiting Mexico City.
