Field Trips

Experience an engaging and educational day outdoors with our Field Trip program at River Island Adventures. Students will explore nature, participate in team-building challenges, and enjoy hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity and collaboration. From guided kayaking on the Waccamaw River to arts and crafts inspired by the natural surroundings, each activity is designed to combine fun with education. With access to Outpost amenities including restrooms, showers, picnic areas, grills, and yard games, students can enjoy a safe and comfortable environment while making lasting memories with classmates or homeschool groups.

Discover a variety of activities tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Students can learn outdoor survival skills, explore the river and woods during scavenger hunts, engage in team-building challenges, and compete in modified SURVIVOR Games. Optional overnight camping with s’mores and owl calling provides an immersive experience for those who want to extend their adventure. Our staff works closely with teachers and chaperones to customize itineraries, ensuring every group has a memorable, fun, and educational day in nature.
