Discover the beauty of the Unstrut river valley on a relaxing multi day canoe adventure through scenic vineyards historic towns and peaceful countryside. The journey begins near Wangen close to the famous discovery site of the Nebra sky disc. On the first day paddlers travel along the calm river toward Kirchscheidungen passing impressive viewpoints where Vitzenburg Castle and Burgscheidungen Castle overlook the valley. Vineyards begin to appear along the riverbanks creating a beautiful landscape for the first stage of the trip.
On the second and third days the route continues through Laucha Freyburg Naumburg and Schönburg before ending in Weissenfels. Along the way travelers pass vineyards historic castles and charming villages while enjoying a peaceful paddling experience of about twenty kilometers each day. Participants can stay overnight in their own tents or choose comfortable guesthouse accommodation near the river making the trip flexible for different travel styles.
