Getting to see the extremely rare dragons was amazing, and having the local islanders be the ones to maintain and protect the place is really cool. It seems a little comical that the only thing the guides carry is a stick, but it works effectively. Was very surprised to see deer on this little island.

Brilliant trip aboard classic phinisi boat. Snorkelling to see turtle, numerous coloured fish, baby shark, manta and fabulous coral. Don't miss the last living dragon of course .... Komodo National Park is a Unesco Wonder of the World. Unequalled sunrise and sunsets. Look out for La Famile and their 5 phinisi boats, wonderful crew to help you on your journey.

I mean it’s nice to see the animals and it was part of a whole series of places at the trip we took, but it’s not the big attraction we expected it to be… Don’t pay too much to go there. Also 2 dragons were not moving at all while the guides took photos, it felt like they were sedated to be a tourist attraction. All other dragons on the island were moving around freely and the guides were more afraid of the free ones than of the 2 lying on the ground. Suspicious.

Been on my bucket list since I was a kid. So happy I could see this place with my own eyes. Such a dream! Anyone who loves the ocean, wildlife, the sun and boats should definitely visit this place at least once in their lifetime! 🦎

Amazing 5 day experience on liveaboard. Komodo is a very special place both above and below the water. Please can the government make sure the park remains protected and that impact of tourism/development/fishing is done in a very responsible way so future generations can witness what must now be one of the few remaining healthy wild places on earth. Indonesia has an opportunity to lead the world in how humans can be part of a wild environment without destroying it at the same time.
