Ideal hotel for what we needed and a secure basement garage for our car. Be aware that the parking spaces are very tight.....I wouldn't want to manouver a large suv or large car between the columns. We would definitely use this hotel again.

Nice hotel, in a strategic position, close to the city centre ( 15 min walk), to the undergroundstation, and taxi station. We experienced a problem with our bath, they changed us room. Staff was gentle. There is a bar at ground floor, at the entrance. recommended for holidays

Hotel diGreat location right next to Puerta de Toledo, with a stunning view directly toward the gate. The room is very well insulated and quiet, with a large window that brings in plenty of natural light. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the bathroom is well equipped with shampoo, soap, and conditioner. The lobby bar offers good service at reasonable prices, and the dinner options are high quality. The hotel is within walking distance of major attractions such as Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, and it’s very well connected to train stations and Madrid airport (around 20 minutes by taxi). Cons: the room is on the small side, and a separate kettle would have been appreciated instead of having to make tea via the coffee machine.

The good: - Good location for the pedestrian tourist. - The AC worked well (I couldn't change the settings on it, could only turn on/off, but it was set to heating as it is winter). - The shower and bed are good. - I was well received at the reception by polite and professional staff. The bad: - There were no curtains. I asked the receptionist why and they said there's blinds one can close with a stick in the windowsill, but after reviewing footage of the room, it is apparent that this stick is missing. I recommend the hotel check where it is and inform guests of slanted ceiling rooms how to close the blinds. - Cleaning staff entered my room with me in bed before checkout time. Very awkward. - This hotel has the worst sound isolation I have ever heard. I heard my neighbors shower as if they were in the same room as me. My room was by the elevator, and I heard it and all the 70 rooms' guests use it constantly from about 6:30 AM. Ding ding, chatter, footsteps, vacuuming sounds, etc. This hotel should at the very, very least insulate their doors much better, as I have no need to hear all the hallway chatter from all guests and cleaning staff on my floor. In the end, I'm grateful the hotel had room for me and my last-minute booking, but I would not stay here again due to the poor sound isolation.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were in Madrid for three nights over the weekend and the hotel made a great base to explore the city. The transport links are good, both Metro and a large number of busses pass through Puerta de Toledo. The staff were very helpful and friendly, we checked in slightly early but still managed to get into the room as it was ready which was a great help. The pillows were very soft and thin however there was an excellent pillow menu so a quick word at reception and we had two wonderful firm pillows delivered to the room. The coffee shop in the foyer was a good place to grab a coffee and toast in the morning and in the evening there were plenty of bars in the area for a quick nightcap. We found the best way of getting to and from the airport was simply a taxi, I had planned to use the bus but the taxi's are a set price from the airport and Uber did us a good deal on return.
