The trees were beautiful but the best part was the PR14 hike that we took. That was 5/5! Recommend good shoes because it can be quite muddy.

Roughly 30–40 minutes’ drive from towns like Porto Moniz or São Vicente.Fanal is famous for its ancient, twisted Ocotea foetens (Til trees) — some hundreds of years old. Some say its misty, others say its sunny, but today it was awesome in the wet. Probably the wettest it can get....... Truly soaked through the skin but a great place to visit on the way back to a warm and dry apartment.
