This tour with our guide Alessandra was absolutely superb. She was so passionate about the history of all the areas it was just brilliant. We booked the 2.5 hour tour of Colosseo, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum using Get Your Guide app. I am so glad we did this because we would not have seen all three places properly on our own! Our guide Aphrodite was professional and had in-depth historical knowledge. She was very considerate in looking after everyone in the group and offered to take pictures too! I would highly recommend it to all visitors.
Finding the meeting point for the tour was extremely easy. When we arrived, we checked in with the host and received a small sticker to indicate our group. The groups were later divided by language, and we then met our tour guide, Aphrodite, who introduced herself and explained the plan for the tour. We started with Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum, and I was immediately impressed by her knowledge. She shared fascinating facts and stories about each site, details we would never have discovered on our own. What really stood out was her pacing. She made the history engaging, easy to follow, and interactive. She even showed us illustrations of what the sites used to look like, which really brought ancient Rome to life. Aphrodite was also very thoughtful about giving us plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the sites. She pointed out hidden gems and small details that made the experience even richer. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome. If you can, try to get the arena access. It is absolutely worth it. Aphrodite made the tour informative, fun, and unforgettable.
