I found an injured pigeon at my apartment in Swords and wasn’t able to bring it to Kildare myself. Despite it being a bank holiday, they kindly came to collect the bird. Very professional, compassionate, and helpful throughout. Really appreciate their work.

A heartfelt thank you to Pierce, a volunteer from Kildare Wildlife Rescue who came to the aid of a bird stuck in barbed wire in our staff car park late on Friday evening when staff wanted to be out celebrating Christmas. Pierce came to the rescue quickly and was professional and knowledgeable when dealing with the situation. it meant we could head out to our Christmas party knowing that the injured bird was in safe hands.

Found ‘Pidge’ earlier today 17th October 2025 in Clontarf, Dublin. Appeared to have a broken wing so rang the local vets who suggested we contact Kildare Wildlife Rescue. While they don’t have a publicly accessible phone number, they do have an email address and claim that they will reply to all queries asap. 4 minutes after we sent an email of enquiry we received a reply detailing how to care for the injured bird and directions to their base. An hour and a half later we handed the injured bird over to the welcoming staff. We were assured the vet would conduct an examination and have x-rays taken. Its location is right next to Kildare Village shopping outlets. Consider donating a few euros or perhaps purchasing one of their calendars /key-rings to help fund the work they do. 👍🏻 🐦

I came upon a baby pigeon being attacked by magpies and a crow , the people in Kildare Wildlife Rescue run a fantastic operation, they were contactable by email, offered advice and arrangements were made to bring the poor bird to a local vet where he was treated before being transferred to Kildare. They shown such kindness and were very efficient .

I'm really glad this rescue is so close to Carlow. A baby bird fell out of its nest in our estate and after I emailed, I got a really quick response from Jana with the Eircode and clear directions. Thanks to that I was able to bring the little one in without any delay. It’s a relief knowing she’s now in safe hands. I also hope my small donation helps in some way to support the brilliant work the guys are doing.
