Still an incredible stop for visuals in the rockies. The falls itself was not afflicted by the fires... but the surrounding forest took a beating. It was bitter sweet seeing it again after the fires.

We took off early that day and Athabasca fall was literally shimmering in the morning light. And I’m sure if there were some fog and mist it could only be even more beautiful. But be careful of the slippery surface.

Love this beautiful sight during the winter. You can see where the lake freezes and where the water runs. Truly a place for the geography students to enjoy.

Athabasca Falls is a must‑see on the Icefields Parkway—thundering water, sculpted canyon walls, and viewpoints that are steps from the parking area. The short, well‑maintained paths and bridges make it easy for all ages, with plenty of angles for photos. Don’t miss the stroll through the abandoned canyon channel at the bottom for cool rock textures and river views.

Came during the 3rd week of August. The water flow was very strong. The parking lot was pretty packed, but if you hang around there is lots of people coming in and out. You probably spend 15-20 minutes here. The path to the falls is a short paved walkway. There are also stairs down to the lower falls. There used to be another area to go down by the river, but it is now blocked off because lots of trees were burned and it is not safe.

Fun instructors, reassured a nervous group and we had a fantastic time. Weather had turned but we were provided with good wetsuits/jackets/ splash jackets & booties to keep warm. Eric was a great guide with lots of knowledge regarding wildlife and the river! :-)

Amazing activity for a family. Took my two 9 year olds and Colin, our guide/pilot, did a great job of making sure they enjoyed themselves (and got wet!). Just stupid views of the mountains as you go downriver.

Great system Great service Great guides Great value Great Product You might want to add to your instructions that if you bring a cell phone bring a water proof phone wallet to put it in with and wear it around your neck? Great opportunities for pictures were missed.
