Montserrat Aeri Cable Car was an amazing experience for us. We came on a day with not-so-great weather and outside of the tourist season, so we didn’t have to wait in line at all 😁 — which was a huge bonus. Despite my fear of heights, I absolutely loved it. The views were stunning, and the ride itself felt smooth and exciting rather than scary. Overall, it was a memorable and very enjoyable experience, and I’m really glad we decided to do it.
Great place for a hike, 1,45h going up (1235m). Also people at the funicular and the monastery are very friendly and welcoming, it was a pleasure to come here! The cheesecake from the street market was fantastic
Taking the Aeri de Montserrat cable car from the lower station to the upper tower was the highlight of my trip! It was surprisingly affordable—only about €14.00 for a round-trip ticket in 2025—which felt like a great value for such an incredible experience. The ride itself was incredibly smooth and steady, making it feel very safe and not scary at all, even as we climbed the steep mountain. The views of the valley and the river below were absolutely breathtaking throughout the five-minute journey. Once you reach the top, you are immediately immersed in the stunning wilderness of the Montserrat mountain range, which feels like a completely different world. It is a must-do for anyone visiting near Barcelona!
