Quiet besides the autumn leaves falling on the van all night. There's a decent playground in the middle of the park for the kids. Price is expensive and some amenities cost extra, the waste disposal is just an old toilet. Wifi only available in reception. Purely a place to stay for the location and ease of public transport into Dublin.

Had some issues with the booking system on my banking app, and the booking deposit didn't pay properly several times. In spite of this, when I got I touch with staff and explained the situation, he was really happy to work with me and took things in stride. We arrived a bit late and he still took time to tell us about the area. I'd give 7/5 stars if I could. Tent pitches are on a flat bit of ground near the showers, of which there are several, and a bathroom that is clean and has plenty of room. Security is a priority here, but it's easy to navigate. We typically camp rather than hotel, so if we come back to Dublin, this will definitely be where we stay. 13/10

We stayed here a couple of nights at the end of our tour of southern Ireland. Ideal location for a day out in Dublin and before catching the ferry. There are two bus options for getting into Dublin, one is the normal bus service (69) which stops outside the gate but you need exact change (€2.80) and they don't use card payments. The other is one of the hop on hop off bus companies which calls in to the site at 9:15. You can pay by cash or card €3 each way but this is a direct bus with no stops. It returns at 4pm from where it drops you off. We got a friendly welcome when we arrived and were told where everything is. The showers are an extra 1 euro which given the pitch price is in my view unnecessary. The facilities are looking a bit tired aswell, as someone else has suggested, they could do with some competition. You have to be of site by noon which isn't a problem, and you can pay extra to stay a few hours more, but if you have a few hours to wait for a ferry I'd suggest parking at the park next door and exploring that as it's a pleasant surprise.

We almost didn't stay here due to some reviews but as it was the closest campsite for getting in to Dublin we decided to chance it. Thank goodness we did! The staff (the ones we came across anyway) were very kind and friendly. The pitches are great - flat and spacious (many appear to be fully serviced). The bus to Dublin is pretty much right outside the gate. Yes the facilities block is pretty run down BUT it's getting a refurb later this year. We are so glad we stayed here. Dublin city itself is much like any other city and not especially pretty (I guess it has a charm if it's own) but it has got some nice attractions (and my husband LOVED the Guinness storehouse. The people are charming and it's very cosmopolitan. If we visit Dublin again we would definitely stay at Camac caravan park.

Stayed here in our camper. It was great that there was different grades of payment fee options. For example we just wanted to park with no electric hook up, we got this as a lower price. (€35 per night) In our experience some places just offer one blanket price and whether you want electricity or not, you still pay for it. It was great to have so many payment options. The site itself is immaculate and so were facilities. Plenty of bins all around the campsite. The people in reception couldn't be more helpful. Number 69 bus right outside the entrance of the campsite that brings you right into Dublin city. They had a bus timetable in reception to give us. The site was safe and secure also. This site is perfect for anyone going to an event in Dublin city or family weekends away. They cater for everyone. Look forward to coming back here to stay again.
