Today I arranged a trip on the Blauwe Bever (Blue Beaver). It was a trip from Wageningen to Doorwerth Castle. Thirty-one people had applied. We were all warmly welcomed on board by the crew and volunteers. The weather was favorable, although quite windy. It was manageable. Upon arrival at Doorwerth Castle, we were given a tour, which was also very well received. On the way back on the Blauwe Bever, the volunteers shared all the interesting facts and information with us. What a successful afternoon! Thank you, dear friends, for this wonderful experience. Good information about sturdy walking shoes. A short walk through the floodplains from the boat to the castle. And free parking, clearly indicated on the website and in your email. We'll definitely be back.

This boat trip requires good physical condition. They didn't tell me the boat was a 30-minute walk from the castle. The mud and elevation made this trip a real nightmare. Furthermore, there was no help after I crashed in the castle restaurant. Help finding a taxi was also nonexistent. Fortunately, the castle volunteer walked us back to the car, for which I'm grateful.
