We used Flagship on the morning of the 29th December. The boats are very nice and cosy and the cruise nice, relaxed spacious and interesting. We had to reschedule our trip by a hour due to a technical issue but we were told at the earliest opportunity and there was no issue. All the staff were great, very friendly and informative, we also received a complimentary drink each. Top notch.
I went on Flagship twice and Lovers once, and prefer Flagship since their tours are smaller and more personal (I live in the Netherlands, only go on cruises with visiting family/friends). The most recent Classic Boat Cruise I went on in November was on a boat with a roof so it was warm despite being on the water. The host did his best and was funny, but he spent the first 15 minutes focusing on serving cheese and drinks without talking (they should have a helper for this group size). Weirdly enough, the itinerary this day missed the dancing houses, which is so important to a tour about Amsterdam. I’m not sure if the captain missed it or if the host missed the chance to point it out during his talk, but it was a huge miss for the people I took this time.
What a fantastic way to see the city, Rob the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The open top boat was a little more special than the usual ones you see in every city with some water. I would recommend especially in good weather.
Amsterdam is a city to see from water our captain said. We really enjoyed the trip, learned interesting facts about city’s history and culture. Definitely recommend
The crew of the boat was amazing. I was very mad at first that we will be in an open boat because my boyfriend was sick and we relied on a warm boat with a roof, so we both were dressed very light. Though the guide and the rest of the crew were so good, that it left us only good impressions. Yet, inform if you change a plan or a boat type in advance. It’s illegal not yo inform about these kind of changes in advance.
The was the trip of a lifetime. It’s a Long way, but Wow was it worth it!!! Lots of stops along the way to break the journey….great food at our lunch stops. Endless fantastic changing scenery along the way. Our hotel on the first night was the pure definition of a ‘hidden gem’. Arriving at the Sahara on a camel at sunset was truly magical. The camp was fantastic, but would loved to have stayed longer, then return from camp on a quad bike at sunrise was the ultimate thrill. Our driver and guide Mustrfr for the 3 days was fantastic, so helpful, friendly, nothing was too much trouble! 6 stars!!!
I think I've done this tour at least 6 times! Every time friends are visiting me in The Netherlands we take this tour and it is ALWAYS amazing! Guides are fun, friendly and knowledgeable. The tour is beautiful and to me, is the best way to explore Amsterdam!
We had an excellent cruise with wine & cheese at the break of dusk today. Our host was very nice and told us interesting facts about the city, while we were able to enjoy the city from an entirely new and exciting perspective. Definite recommendation! The decent wine and the very nice two kinds of cheese just added to the experience - 10/10!
We LOVED our cruise!! I wish we could remember our skipper’s name because he absolutely made the tour and was one of my favorite tour guides I’ve ever had. I hope someone can identify him from this photo to give the credit he deserves! The cheese was delicious and our tour was a perfect combination of history, culture, architecture, and humor! Couldn’t recommend enough!!
We took the Flagship Amsterdam canal cruise today with family, and it was a delightful experience! The storytelling was top-notch—authentic, engaging, and sprinkled with fun historical tidbits that brought Amsterdam’s canals to life. Our guides, Albert and Tobias, were fantastic. They were warm, knowledgeable, and kept everyone entertained, from the kids to the adults. The boat was cozy, the views were stunning, and the personal touch made it feel special. Highly recommend this cruise for a memorable family outing!
