Barnegat Bay Marina Offers Full-Day Pontoon and Skiff Rentals with Safety Rules

A marina along Barnegat Bay is offering full-day boat rentals that allow visitors to explore the coastal waters at their own pace. Guests can choose between a spacious pontoon boat, designed to accommodate up to 12 passengers, or a smaller Carolina Skiff suited for fishing trips and groups of up to six. Both options provide access to the scenic bay area for a full day of boating and leisure.

Rental operations begin early in the morning, with boat pick-ups available from 8 a.m. and returns required by 4 p.m. or earlier. To ensure safety, renters must present a valid boater’s safety certificate or license, or complete a 30-minute pre-rental instruction class offered at the marina. Visitors are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure to allow time for preparation and briefing before heading out on the water.

The marina has outlined strict guidelines to ensure safe and responsible boating. Only one vehicle per boat is permitted due to limited parking availability, though additional parking is offered at Windward Beach for a fee. Alcohol regulations prohibit glass bottles and hard liquor onboard, and renters must be at least 21 years old. All boats must be returned clean and fully stocked with safety equipment properly stored.

Additional policies include a credit card hold for potential damages or fuel charges, with fuel not included in the rental price. Renters are encouraged to carry identification, payment methods, and valid boating credentials throughout their visit. Optional prop and skeg insurance is available for added protection, and any hired boat mate must be paid in cash on the day of service.
