Go Try Archery

Experience the excitement of Hilton Head’s first-ever Try Archery event at the Mid-Island Tract. Participants of all skill levels will receive instruction from Outdoor Rec’s USA Archery certified instructors in a safe and supportive environment. Learn the basics of archery, including proper stance, aim, and safety techniques, while practicing on a ten-target outdoor range. Using Genesis Compound Bows in both children’s and adult sizes, participants will have the chance to shoot arrows at various targets, building confidence, focus, and hand-eye coordination in a fun, engaging way. This event provides the perfect introduction to archery for beginners or a fun practice session for those with prior experience.

The Try Archery event is designed to be educational, interactive, and entertaining for everyone. Participants will leave with the skills and knowledge to safely operate a bow on a range, along with the satisfaction of hitting targets and improving their technique. All equipment, including bows and arrows, is provided, and instructors ensure that everyone is comfortable and supported throughout the session. Attendees should wear closed-toe shoes and pants and may bring their own bows if desired. This program combines outdoor recreation, skill-building, and enjoyment, creating a memorable experience for all ages.
