Excellent tour of St. John's Virgin Islands led by driver and guide Kenneth. Educational stops along our way to Trunk Beach including a 20 minute stop at the old Annenburg Sugar Plantation ruins. It was a great day. This famous beach has become very crowded in the winter season due to the cruise industry. Still worth the magical swim in paradise!
Hier stimmt das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis überhaupt nicht. Man kann das nicht als “Tour” bezeichnen, es war eine Fahrt mit einem Sammeltaxi, dazu noch in einem unbequemen und ungepflegten Fahrzeug mit einem harschen Fahrer. Dieser hielt zwischendurch an und gab Erklärungen im Stil eines Master Sergeant der US Armee - heißt, stramm stehen und keine Zwischenfragen stellen - ab. Auf dem Rückweg vom Trunk Bay fanden wir noch andere Leute im Taxi vor. Wenn wir den Fahrer nicht sehr nachdrücklich aufgefordert hätten, auf zwei noch fehlende Gäste von der Hinfahrt zu warten, hätten diese gucken können, wie sie zurückkommen. Das Taxi war dann auch zu voll und die Rückfahrt noch u komfortabler. Die Insel selbst ist schön, der Trunk bay ein Traum von Strand. Und deshalb vergebe ich 2 *.
This experience was advertised as a guided tour of St. John highlighting the island’s beauty and Trunk Bay Beach. In reality, it was nothing more than an overpriced taxi ride to the beach and back to the hotel. There was no meaningful guidance, no island history, no narration, and no added value beyond basic transportation. If you’re expecting an actual tour with insight, commentary, or any level of professionalism consistent with a guided experience, you will be very disappointed. You’d be far better off arranging your own transportation for a fraction of the cost. Misleading description and not worth the money.
