Outing - North Park After Dark

Experience the magic of North Park Lake after sunset with our two hour guided outing designed for paddlers looking for a unique nighttime adventure. As the sun sets, the lake transforms into a calm, serene environment where you can listen for frogs, spot beavers, and enjoy the quiet of the water. Our trained Excursionists and Volunteer Trip Leaders will provide a safety talk, introduce the equipment, and guide the group with helpful tips for navigating the lake at night. Participants may choose either kayaks or stand up paddle boards, and equipment with boat lights is included for those not bringing their own.

This intermediate level outing is best suited for those with some prior paddling experience. The group will move at a comfortable pace, spending roughly one and a half hours on the water. Please arrive fifteen minutes early for check in. Dress for the weather, bring water, and wear comfortable closed toe shoes. Light outer layers are recommended under your PFD since you may get splashed. Personal boats are welcome but must be non motorized and in seaworthy condition; staff will inspect boats before use, and a rental kayak will be provided if needed. Ticket sales close twenty four hours before the event.
