North Park Lake Introduces Guided Night Paddling Experience After Sunset

North Park Lake is offering a guided nighttime paddling experience that allows participants to explore the water after sunset. The two-hour outing is designed to provide a peaceful and immersive adventure as the lake transitions into a quieter, more natural evening environment.

Set on calm waters similar to those at North Park Lake, the experience highlights nocturnal wildlife activity such as frogs and beavers while offering paddlers a chance to enjoy the stillness of the lake. Participants may choose between kayaks or stand-up paddleboards, with illuminated equipment provided for safety.

The program is led by trained Excursionists and Volunteer Trip Leaders who conduct a safety briefing and provide guidance on nighttime navigation techniques. The outing is considered intermediate level and is best suited for participants with prior paddling experience.

Organizers advise guests to arrive early and dress appropriately for changing evening conditions, including lightweight layers and closed-toe footwear. Personal non-motorized boats are permitted subject to inspection, while rental equipment is available for those who need it, ensuring a safe and well-supported experience.
