Miradouro de Santa Luzia is absolutely worth a visit. The views over Alfama’s rooftops and the Tagus River are genuinely beautiful, and for the price of free, you really can’t complain.  It was a bit crowded when we went, but that’s expected given how popular this spot is. Even so, it’s still a memorable place to slow down for a few minutes, take photos, and enjoy the scenery. The viewpoint itself is part of the charm too, with a small landscaped terrace, shaded areas, and classic blue-and-white azulejo panels that make it feel distinctly Lisbon.  One detail I appreciated is that the tile panels aren’t just decorative, they depict historical scenes, including Lisbon’s Praça do Comércio before the 1755 earthquake and the 1147 conquest of the castle (a cool touch if you like history).  That said, I wouldn’t call the views “to die for.” You can get comparable viewpoints nearby, and this is more of a “quick, classic Lisbon stop” than a once-in-a-lifetime moment. It’s also conveniently located in Alfama at Largo de Santa Luzia, right by the Church of Santa Luzia, making it an easy stop while exploring the neighborhood.  Overall, crowded or not, it’s still definitely worth a visit and an easy, memorable addition to a Lisbon walking day.
Miradouro de Santa Luzia offers some of the most impressive views in Lisbon. From here you can see the Alfama district and the river in a truly beautiful setting. The terrace is elegantly decorated with plants and traditional blue and white azulejos, making it even more special. It is one of those places you simply cannot miss when visiting the city.

The terrace is very charming, with flowers, shaded areas, and traditional Portuguese tiles that add to the atmosphere. It’s a great spot for photos and a short rest while exploring the area. It can get busy with tourists, but the view and vibe make it well worth a visit
