Sunset Kayak Excursion Offers Scenic Evening Adventure on Rehoboth Bay

Visitors can enjoy a peaceful 75-minute sunset kayak excursion on Rehoboth Bay with guidance from an ACA Certified Kayak Instructor. Designed for beginners and recreational paddlers, the tour introduces basic kayaking skills while exploring calm, shallow waterways during the cooler evening hours. The experience is priced at $65 per person.

As participants paddle across the bay, they can admire the area's natural beauty and watch for local wildlife, including osprey, great blue herons, green herons, and bald eagles. The route also passes Thompson Island, home to protected burial grounds preserved by Delaware Seashore State Park, adding a touch of local history to the journey.

Guests may choose between single and tandem kayaks, with a minimum of two vessels required for the excursion to operate. Children under 13 must ride in the front seat of a tandem kayak with an adult, while children aged five and under who weigh less than 50 pounds may ride free in the center jump seat with two paying paddlers.

Launch times vary slightly throughout the season to match the evening sunset, providing ideal conditions for a relaxing paddle. Free parking is available on Dagsworthy Street after 5:00 PM on Mondays, making it easy for guests to begin their scenic adventure.
