We had an incredible experience with Yellowstone Wild Tour during our winter safari tour. From the moment we met the owner and our guide, Aleksa, we felt we were in really good hands. Aleksa was absolutely amazing, her knowledge of Yellowstone’s wildlife and ecosystems was impressive, and her passion truly elevated the entire day. She was also incredibly skilled at spotting animals, often seeing them long before we ever would have noticed them ourselves. Honestly, if she hadn’t spotted them, we would never have found some of them, as they blend so perfectly into their habitat. It’s important to remember that wildlife sightings are never guaranteed when exploring the wild, and every day in nature is different. That said, we truly hit the jackpot on our tour. We started the day by spotting a pack of wolves, beautiful silver and black animals, which was an unforgettable experience and definitely the highlight of the day, especially since we came specifically hoping to see them. We were also very impressed by the quality of the equipment provided. From binoculars to an incredible scope, we were able to observe the animals up close with amazing clarity, all while fully respecting national park rules and maintaining a safe, appropriate distance. Over the course of the day, we were fortunate enough to see everything we had hoped for and beyond: moose, elk, coyotes, bison, bald eagles, a diving bird, mountain goats, big-horned sheep, pronghorn antelope…etc. The tour was well paced, informative, and thoughtfully guided. I highly recommend Yellowstone Wild Tour to anyone looking for an authentic, ethical, and truly memorable wildlife experience. It’s perfect for kids as well.
My family joined a multi-day wolf watching tour and it was an incredible experience!!! Our guide Matt was awesome - he was incredibly personable and knowledgeable about wolves, wildlife, and Yellowstone. He also balanced the needs of our group really well (not an easy task with the variety of age ranges and interests)! I also really appreciated the guest speakers Taylor, Emil, and Carolyn! We learned a lot while having a great time. The folks we met who work with Yellowstone Wild were not just knowledgeable and personable, but also seemed like genuinely kind compassionate people. They are doing a ton to help us all understand the magic of this park in a sustainable and compassionate way. I hope to return soon!
I booked Winter Wolves and Wildlife for myself and my two teenage boys. Evan picked us up at Mammoth with hot drinks before sunrise and kept us moving all day! We had an absolutely amazing wildlife experience thanks to Evan and his thoughtful questions about what we wanted to see and how we wanted to experience Yellowstone. He was able to answer all our questions, tell us about the land and animals and took great care of us in the below zero temps! I would absolutely book a tour with Yellowstone Wild again and I highly recommend this experience!
