Women on Whitewater Weekend Inspires New Paddlers Through Learning and Community

Experience a weekend dedicated to women in whitewater, where beginners can discover kayaking while connecting with experienced female paddlers and passionate instructors. This welcoming event combines skill development, outdoor adventure, and community, creating the perfect environment for those curious about starting their whitewater journey.

The Beginner Two-Day Kayak Clinic is led by ACA-certified instructors who provide expert guidance and hands-on training in a supportive setting. Participants learn essential kayaking skills while enjoying the scenic beauty of the Deerfield River and the convenient amenities of a full-service adventure resort.

Throughout the weekend, guests take part in community paddles, workshops, shared meals, and social activities designed to encourage connection and learning. Instruction is naturally blended into each experience, allowing new paddlers to gain confidence while interacting with experienced members of the whitewater community.

The clinic covers foundational skills including boat orientation, maneuvering strokes, safe exits, and leaning techniques on flat water. As participants progress, they move onto the river to practice whitewater safety and complete a guided Class I to II river section, building the confidence and knowledge needed for future kayaking adventures.
