This Viking weave jewellery workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn ancient techniques used to create trichinopoly chains, which have been prized throughout history for both decorative and functional purposes. Under the guidance of expert Holly Berkley, participants will craft a complete matching set of jewellery including a necklace with a beaten spiral pendant, a bracelet, matching earrings, and a beaten spiral ring. The session is hands-on and uses high-quality jewellery-grade non-tarnish copper, draw plates, and jewellery anvils, allowing participants to gain practical experience in crafting durable and visually striking pieces. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with advanced skills, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the creative process and produce beautiful results. Set in the scenic Whitchurch Silk Mill on the banks of the River Test, the experience also combines craftsmanship with a pleasant historical setting, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the day.

The workshop runs from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm with a short break for lunch, giving ample time to learn and practice the Viking weave techniques. Participants will be guided through each step, from manipulating copper wire to forming intricate patterns, learning the importance of precision and patience in jewellery making. By the end of the day, attendees will have a full matching set to take home, along with skills that can be applied to future projects. This experience blends creativity, history, and hands-on learning, making it a rewarding and memorable activity for anyone interested in traditional jewellery craftsmanship and metalworking techniques.
