This tour was really special. I could listen to Josh sharing his stories and knowledge all day. The sense of calm and magic of the didgeridoo in the beautiful Ngilgi cave is hard to describe. My kids came away with their own highlights. You just have to join Koomal Dreaming to experience it! We'll be back :)
Josh took us on The Aboriginal Food, Culture, Cave & Didge Tour. Great information on the history of the region, food and resources, tools and seasons. The stories and music were uplifting, plus very entertaining. The lunch was top class in a lovely setting. The recent infrastructure build has enhanced the tour. Highly recommend going on this very good value tour.
My visit to Ngilgi Cave with Koomal Dreaming was truly a highlight of our trip to Western Australia. From the moment the tour began, we were completely immersed in the ancient culture of the Wadandi people. A huge thank you to our guide, Josh! His passion and deep knowledge of the local Indigenous history and traditions brought the landscape to life. He shared the tjukurpa (dreaming stories) and explained the cultural significance of the region with incredible detail and clarity. For anyone concerned about mobility, I was extremely impressed that all aspects of the tour outside of the cave itself were wheelchair accessible. The welcome area, facilities, and the pathways leading to the cave entrance are very well set up, allowing everyone to participate fully in the cultural introduction and surrounding environment. (Just remember that the cave interior naturally requires steps.) This tour is a powerful, educational, and essential experience for all visitors to the Margaret River Region! Highly, highly recommended.
