Erin was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable on all things Aix! She had treats for us at every turn of the tour. It was enjoyable to see her interact with the purveyors during our time together. My wife and I would highly recommend Erin. On a side note, the day started with a “storm of the year” so we weren’t sure we would go ahead with the tour. Thankfully, the weather changed and Erin was very flexible to meet us at a later hour.
We did the Tastes of Provence tour with Janicke in AIX following our river cruise down the Rhone. She was wonderful, taking us to her favorite places for everything from pastries to wine to cheese and bread, chocolates, etc. and in spite of a cold steady rain that afternoon, we had a great time and learned a lot about AIX from this knowledgeable, outgoing lady. We highly recommend her and this tour. Did I mention she can also steer you to wonderful local restaurants?
I cannot recommend this tour enough! My husband and I did this on our honeymoon and it was one of the highlights of our trip. It was the perfect way to explore the city, get a feel for the culture, and try amazing local foods. Jennifer, our guide, made the day so interesting and fun. She’s so knowledgeable about the culture of Aix and did a great job infusing learnings into our tour while also keeping it conversational and light. She took us to such amazing spots - a famous bakery, a coffee shop, the farmers market, and local shops for cheese, meat, and bread. It was so cool seeing the relationships she had with the shop owners - it truly felt like we were locals. She was also so personable with us and a joy to talk to throughout the day. This half day activity is so worthwhile we’d do it again if we came back.
