Second Saturday Workshop: Create Your Own Color Wheel

Experience a creative and educational workshop designed specifically for K-12 educators and families at the Thomas Cole National Historic Site. Participants will begin with a guided tour of the historic Main House and the newly opened Richard Sharp Gallery, exploring the exhibition Thomas Cole: An American Visionary. Museum education staff will provide insight into Cole’s techniques, particularly his painting Diagram of Contrasts, and the ways color and design inform artistic expression. After the tour, attendees will move to the Storehouse to create their own wood-stained color wheels, combining historical inspiration with hands-on artistic practice.
