Explore the Rocky Mountains on Two Wheels Along the Scenic Peaks Trail

Frisco is surrounded by expansive National Forest landscapes, making it an ideal starting point for an unforgettable mountain biking adventure. This guided ride follows the legendary Peaks Trail through the White River National Forest, connecting Frisco and Breckenridge along a scenic route of pine and aspen forests. Riders can enjoy a classic Colorado singletrack experience surrounded by mountain scenery and fresh alpine air.

The Peaks Trail is a popular route for both mountain bikers and hikers, featuring a combination of rocky sections, roots, climbs, and exciting downhill stretches. The trail winds through the White River National Forest, offering riders the opportunity to experience Colorado's natural landscape while navigating varied terrain. Along the way, there are occasional views of the surrounding mountains that add to the adventure.

The experience begins at Peaks Trailhead in Frisco, where riders meet their guide and load onto the bike shuttle. The shuttle transports the group toward Breckenridge, allowing riders to begin the trail from the Breckenridge side and enjoy the predominantly downhill route back toward Frisco. Although the ride includes substantial descending, some uphill sections remain, making a reasonable level of fitness important.

Covering approximately eight miles, the ride features around 951 feet of elevation gain and 1,838 feet of descent. With its combination of rocky and rooty sections, flowing singletrack, forest scenery, and mountain views, the Peaks Trail provides an exciting way to explore the White River National Forest on two wheels. The guided format ensures riders can focus on enjoying the trail while benefiting from local knowledge and support throughout the adventure.
