What an incredible experience!. We unfortunately got there at a bad time and it was incredibly packed, even on a weekday. If you're in Rome, and can make it here, you absolutely should it truly an amazing experience. (You're not allowed to take photos in the chapel fyi, I managed to get a screenshot from a person i was FaceTimeing at the time) We went in with a 10 person tour so we were able to get in and out in a reasonable time, i highly recommend using a tour group as they get preference vs just general admission.
Doesn't matter whether you are religious or not, you'll be blown away by this iconic place. Very easy to get around, it was January when we visited and there were virtually no queues. The art and architecture go hand in hand. The scale is unbelievable. Beautiful in every way. The skill of the creators is impressive. Well worth visiting.
Very awe inspiring and grand. Also very busy so there's that. The gift shop is super small but I guess most churches don't have gift shops.
