At 8:00 AM, your guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel in Guilin to begin your full-day adventure. From there, you'll embark on a scenic one-hour drive to Yangshuo, a charming town known for its dramatic karst mountain landscapes and riverside beauty. Your first stop will be the picturesque Yulong River, where you’ll enjoy a peaceful walk along its banks, taking in the stunning natural scenery of winding waters flanked by lush greenery and towering limestone peaks. This area offers an excellent opportunity for photos and a chance to experience the serene beauty of southern China's countryside up close. Following your stroll, you’ll head to the iconic Moon Hill, a striking limestone arch atop a hill that provides breathtaking views of the surrounding karst formations and verdant valleys. Though the climb involves ascending a thousand stone steps, reaching the summit is well worth the effort, as it offers one of the best panoramic views in the region. After working up an appetite, you'll be treated to a delicious Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor authentic dishes prepared with fresh local ingredients. In the afternoon, you’ll travel to the ancient town of Xingping, where you will board a local boat to cruise along the most scenic section of the Li River. Great experience here to stroll around the river and enjoy the limestone rocks view. Unfortunately the raft we were on was made from plastic instead of bamboo.
Beautiful and mystic is the word! Day time its full of tourist rafts that carry two persons a time down the river. Night time the whole scenery turns mystic. Beauty of the majestic hills adds extra to the whole scene.
Great place and infrastructure. Very easy to go around and has walking and bicycle paths. Not very wild as it seems and feels a bit touristic at times so if you prefer something wilder not the ideal place for you.

Another highlight for us of our tour of Guilin is the Yulong river cruise. We were provided rafts instead of boats. The rafts were modified so that we could sit comfortably. The raftsman steered the raft expertly. The scenery was so beautiful and serene. The ever present karst hills were prominent wherever we looked.
