El Dorado AirPort is a bustling, and somewhat chaotic experience. It seems the lines are unnecessarily long as they have yet to master the Kanbon system of dealing with lines and mass movement of people. The immigration process can easily take 1:45 minutes as one stands in an endless line zig zagging through immigration. This sets the tone for the welcome introduction to Bogota. The migration is equally chaotic and very slow.
This airport is quite large in size, inside T1 building is clean and well organized, with clear and easy to read signs in Spanish and English.
Great big airport in Bogota... You can come there with your own car, city buses or with taxi... For me best option is with Uber taxi which is the fastest and cheapest... From there you need 20-30 minutes to your apartments where ever you are... Inside airport there is so much places to eat or drink something or boutiques or places with stamps and souvenirs... Also they have big duty-free... Prices are correct for airport and cheaper than in Europe airports... People who work there is so kind and helpful... Security control work very fast... With biometric passport you can do self control... Toilets are clean... All recommendations for visit and take flight to and from this airport if you are in Bogota
