I liked this small airport in Bucaramanga Santander. Easy access, easy to navigate. Everything went well. The check in process went smooth. What I love the most about this airport is the amazing restaurant near by. I think is called: "Palo Negro." The restaurant is about 5 mts from the airport located on top of a hill with great views of the city of Bucaramanga Santander, with delicious drinks, reasonably priced and great service.
Airport security here is ridiculous. They saw a tiny pair or foldable scissors in my bag. Literally less than 3 inches when unfolded and with rounded tips. They said I couldn't have them and in the process they found a pair of tweezers and tiny nail clippers and took those as well. We saw them give back a pair of large nail clippers to another passenger..when we said something, they said it didn't have a "pointed file attachment". I've traveled with all these items for years. These people are crazy or they just enjoy taking stuff. Then the immigration officers treated us like we were criminals. We are a couple traveling on vacation, but they treat us like we are trafficking drugs or people. Jesus Christ, the people that do these jobs are on such a power trip. They need to learn to recognize the people who are just living their lives and not treat those people like criminals. Completely absurd. I guess some people have a major chip on their shoulder.
