Embark on an unforgettable journey through the awe-inspiring Matobo Hills, a land steeped in ancient history and natural beauty. This thrilling adventure invites you to connect with the wild heart of Zimbabwe as you track majestic rhinos and discover the secrets hidden within centuries-old Bushmen rock paintings. These cultural treasures played a vital role in the conservation success story of the rhino's reintroduction to Matobo National Park. As you navigate the rugged terrain, marvel at breathtaking views of the unique balancing rock formations and explore sacred sites, including the iconic grave of Cecil Rhodes. Your knowledgeable guide will bring the region's vibrant history to life, recounting the tales of the Ndebele Kings, their encounters with early European settlers, and the legendary Matabele wars—where 3,000 warriors famously defeated the Shangani Patrol.

The Matobo experience is not just about the past; it’s a living, breathing encounter with the region’s rich biodiversity. Keep your eyes open for wildlife and birdlife as your guide leads you through this extraordinary landscape. The journey concludes with a well-earned lunch at a scenic spot tucked within the hills, where you’ll enjoy a meal crafted with local ingredients and traditional flavors. One of the most scenic parks I visited in a long time. Not overstocked with game, but we were lucky to see rhino. Highly recommend this park

We had the rhino encounter and saw some historical sites at the park. We had Blessing as our guide and he was kind, funny and he explained everything very well. The wild rhinos were 5m away and we went to see them by foot! Incredible, breathtaking experience

A key note destination if one decides to visit Bulawayo, Matopos National Park is a gem on Zimbabwes crown. As a father of 3 boys it presented a great hiking spot and viewing for the best of rock formations nature has to offer. Great place to visit🇿🇼
