Unprofessional, disrespectful, and dishonest behavior We booked and paid in advance for jet ski rentals, arrived on time, and were completely ready, even with our kids. The staff had no issue understanding us during payment, but then suddenly refused to provide the service, claiming our English “wasn’t good enough.” They never tried to give any safety instructions or explain anything — they just denied us on the spot. To make matters worse, they falsely accused us of being aggressive and disrespectful, which is absolutely untrue. We were calm, polite, and respectful the entire time — especially with our children present. Not a single offensive word was spoken from our side. They issued a partial refund with no clear explanation for the deduction. The whole experience felt deeply unfair, discriminatory, and dishonest. I would strongly advise others to avoid this company if you expect professionalism, respect, and basic integrity.
Our visit to Lake Norman was a fantastic experience! We rented a pontoon boat from What’s Up Watersports, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. The boat was delivered and picked up exactly as scheduled. The staff was super friendly and gave us a thorough overview of safety procedures and how to operate the boat. It was in excellent condition and came fully equipped with a tow rope, tube, and skis—perfect for a fun-filled day on the water. We had an amazing time and would absolutely rent from them again!
