My experience with Easyrent was absolutely terrible. Never again. First of all, it took ages to collect the car. The staff spent a long time checking lights and other details, yet clearly missed important safety checks. While driving to Cork, the car started warning about low tyre pressure. I then discovered that all tyres were low, which obviously hadn’t been properly checked before the rental. On top of that, they charge a €10 “admin fee” for each trip on the M50, plus the actual toll. This feels completely unreasonable. Overall, very poor service, lack of proper vehicle checks, and excessive extra charges. I would not recommend Easyrent to anyone.

I arrived at Easirent Dublin Airport expecting cheap and cheerful. What I got was cheap and dreadful. The only bright spot was the shuttle bus driver, who was the nicest lad in the entire operation. Polite, calm, and doing his best in what was clearly a lost cause. Unfortunately, the moment you walked inside, that goodwill was immediately destroyed by a female staff member who was barking at customers and even snapping at the bus driver. It set the tone instantly. Abrupt, rude, and completely unnecessary. You could practically hear the budget being stretched to breaking point. I booked a Ford Focus or similar. What appeared was a Dacia so basic it looked like it had been assembled during a tea break. No screen. No navigation. Barely a radio. One hub cap missing and the bodywork looked like it had lost a fight with a hedge. The car was not supplied with a full tank of fuel, yet we returned it with one. Naturally I took photos, because with this crowd you would be mad not to document everything like a crime scene. Then came the overcharge. An extra 108 EUR quietly added on. They admitted it was wrong and said a refund had been issued. At the time of writing, it still has not arrived. I went in expecting a simple, good value rental. Instead, the car was badly maintained, laughably low spec, and the whole place felt like it was being run on a shoestring, with staff under pressure and customers paying the price. My brother rented the car and I picked him up. The look on his face said everything. In short, an absolute disaster. Not cheap. Not cheerful. Not worth the money. I will not be going anywhere near Easirent again, and unless you enjoy stress with a set of keys, I would suggest you do the same.
