We had a great food tour with Mie in Shinsekai and Dotonburi. Mie took us to her favourite places that were not crowded, giving us an authentic experience eating gyoza, kushikatsu and Okonomiyaki with locals. Mie was great fun, and super helpful.
We had an amazing tour with Haruka-san. She showed us some amazing temples, which were not as busy or touristic and always had a great explanation. It really added very well to our tour in Tokyo and Japan!
Nicki helped me so much to create the perfect itinerary for our Japan trip. She arranged drivers to pick us up from the airport and drop us off at the end of our trip. She even arranged a kayak trip for us in Hakone and helped us with the entrance tickets to the Osaka expo and explained how we could apply to visit the pavilions. Stefanie helped us get guides in Tokyo, Takayama, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima. The guides really add so much layering to our trip. They show us places you can't go if you don't speak Japanese. For instance we went to many restaurants that had hand written menu's. Google translate is absolutely useless if you want to order food in a place like this. Also the back ground information during the tours was so interesting. We got to see and experience so many things we would not have been able to do if we would not have had the help of the Tokiotours staff. From the owner to the guides, all the people were so very helpful and friendly. We are truly grateful for this experience and will recommend Tokiotours to all of our friends!
It was great to have a personalised tour around Tokyo by an experienced Tokyo guide Jasper. I enjoyed a lot the combination of art, cultural and architectural stories. It is nice to see quite some buildings are inspired by other cities: Empire State Building, Amsterdam station, Notre Dame in Paris and many more. Fantastic experience!
