The Catlins Day Tour

This full day guided tour from Invercargill explores the wild and dramatic Catlins coast, shaped by tides, weather, and time. The order of stops depends on tide conditions to ensure the best experience possible. Travel along the southern coastline and discover iconic natural landmarks including Waipapa Point Lighthouse, Curio Bay viewpoints, petrified forest walks, McLean Falls, Matai Falls, Purakaunui Falls, Lake Wilkie, Tunnel Hill, and Nugget Point Lighthouse. Depending on timing and conditions, there may be opportunities to visit Roaring Bay or return to Curio Bay to look for rare Yellow Eyed Penguins. Not all locations can be visited in one day due to tides, seasons, and the time spent at each stop.
