We came during the evening, it was a lot more calmer as there were less people. You purchase a ticket (different price for locals vs visitors). You get the option for a digital map of the place. There’s a small cafe style to grab pastries, ice cream, drinks. The place is well kept, lots of walking required. For those with limited accessibility, there are some places that can only be accessed via stairs, some steep, narrow pathways. There were Multiple temples and other areas to enjoy. The monkeys are everywhere, ranging in age & breed. They are being fed by staff. Some were a little aggressive but if you don’t bother them they won’t come bother you unless you have something they want (food). We really enjoyed the nature, hanging vines, the water streams, the natural ponds along the walk. There are many places for photo opportunities, some area with a long lines up. Overall, we only opted to see this sanctuary during our whole trip. The area and monkeys appeared to be tended to.
I was able to see the monkeys’ dinner time — it was amazing!! One of the monkeys was eyeing the keychain on my bag, but luckily it didn’t get taken 😅 I’ll definitely be more careful next time! It was a really fun place where I could fully enjoy nature. I’ve never had the chance to observe monkeys this closely before, so it was a truly special experience. There were also many large, old trees, and being surrounded by them made me feel refreshed and energized. I highly recommend visiting this place!💝
Very nice walk through this amazing sanctuary for Monkeys. Don’t bring any bags if possible and no plastic bags or water bottles to entice the monkeys. But essentially, they are super well fed and pretty much would ignore all the humans around them and just sit and sleep and eat.
