This is so worth it. You get to see the coolest waterfall, explore beautiful nature, and it truly feels like you are in the jungle. Entirely different feel than the main lake in the best way.
We were staying in Furnas, and this ended up being a perfect activity for us on one of our days that we wanted to spend closer to home. We were also very sore from another hike, and this is an easy walk in contrast to many others on the Island. We really enjoyed the gardens and the moody chapel as well.
LOCATION: you must get tickets to the park (entrance near thr bottom of the lake) to see these waterfalls as they are on private property. COST: 4 Euros for park and waterfall EASE: very easy 35 mn walk BEAUTY: Amazing, one of the nicest on the island.
