Driving in Luxor is easier than many visitors expect especially with a little awareness and preparation. We provide a protective helmet at no extra cost and strongly recommend using it at all times. While driving you should remain attentive to road conditions such as speed bumps and occasional holes on smaller streets. Always respect Egyptian traffic rules and stay alert for unexpected movements as local driving can be lively. Keeping calm and observant will help you feel comfortable very quickly as you adapt to the local flow.

To complete the rental process we will need a copy of your passport and your driving license. The rental contract will be written in English and you are welcome to keep a copy with you during your tour. Many guests feel confident after a short time behind the wheel often adjusting within fifteen minutes. It is advised to keep slightly to the left on double roads as traffic from the right tends to slow naturally at crossings. Do not hesitate to use your claxon when needed as it is a common and accepted form of communication.
