Absolutely beautiful, one-of-a-kind stay in Singapore. We really loved the opportunity to get in touch with Mother Nature (low tide exploration, feeding the chickens, exploring the edible garden, eggs spotting, etc etc the list goes on…there’s just so many things to discover). It made me so happy seeing my sons keep on running round and round the place, looking for the chickens, spotting caterpillars and pausing each time we walk past the scorpions just to watch their movements. We had so much fun cooking up our own breakfast too! The staff were very prompt in their responses and it just made the whole experience so wonderful.
We had an amazing time at the Permaculture tour. A big shout-out to Lee Hiang and Gary for guiding us through the experience. The bee segment was especially meaningful. We learned so much about bees and even had a close, guided experience with them. Our kids shared that they now feel much less afraid of bees, which was a big win for us. Feeding the chickens and ducks was a highlight, and seeing the two beautiful white peacocks was a lovely surprise. The second workshop, Rearing a Chicken, was an absolute blast. Huge thanks to Gary, who shared extensive knowledge and many practical insights. The kids loved learning how to care for chickens, catching chickens and ducks, and even finding freshly laid eggs. Overall, this was a meaningful, hands-on experience for both adults and kids. We truly appreciate the team’s passion for environmental education, sustainability, and raising awareness in such an engaging way. Thank you for the wonderful work you are doing to inspire families and the next generation. 🌱🐝🐔
The HOM chalet is within walking distance to Changi Village where we are able to get access to good food. The owners are very responsive to our enquiries as well. HOM gives a very cozy and rustic feel, something different from other chalets. Chickens and ducks roam freely outside the house, something we do not get to see and experience often. It definitely is a good get away.
