Wow! What a memorable trip -- so very convenient being picked up from our hotel in Sorrento and driven to the marina where our boat would take us on a day trip to Positano, Amalfi, and the scenic Amalfi coast along the way. The marina we departed from was a good 20 minutes drive from our hotel --definitely not within walking distance! Once we got to the marina, we were checked in, given a quick orientation, assigned to our crew for the trip, then escorted to our boat... this process took about 20 minutes or so. We paid the 5 euro per person "harbor fee", rented snorkeling equipment and towels, and then got settled on the boat -- our crew (Tony and Tony) were fun, helpful, knowledgeable, and took very good care of us for the entire trip. So very glad we chose to explore the Amalfi coast on a private boat charter, avoiding the lines and crowds I had seen on YouTube while evaluating the options for exploring the Amalfi Coast. Money well spent.
