We (Irish couple) visited Crate Adventure in July for an action-packed couple of days. We did the Mountain Trek, ATVs and Kayaking in Colombo Mountain which was so much fun. Sampath was a 10/10 tour guide during the trek and told us all about the local animals, plants and traditions. We had the most amazing Rice and Curry for lunch - it was the best one we had in Sri Lanka in 3 weeks. The following day we went on the ATV experience in Colombo Port. A very different experience to the mountain trail but equally as exicting and fun. We would 100% reccomend this to any couple, family or group visiting Colombo. The owners and tour guides are the most lovely and accomodating people you will meet!!
Customer Service: Easy communication from start to end. Over all process was super smooth. Location: Just away from Colombo. 50-70 mins drive depending on traffic. Trail Guide at location: Super friendly person. Calmly lets you go with the flow to get used to the quad bike. Quad Bike: One of the best I have driven so far. They've got 450cc bikes from Canada! Well maintained and easy to use. Overall: Great service, value for money. Excellent place to get away to spend a day or just the quad bike trail. Forget the city and to relax :) Go to place if your an adrenaline junkie!
I went here for my birthday with a few freinds and it was great. The staff are very friendly and held good conversation with us. The morning hike took us 3 hours(can be shortened) and held some amazing views! Straight after we had goes on the ATVs is always fun. My only draw back is the price it costs for another go (since we booked the package). Lunch came after which was truly magnificent. There was about 10 dishes in claypots to supplement the rice. Exactly what was needed after such a busy morning. In the afternoon we took it easy with some kayaking in the small body of water at the site, next to what appears to be a massive elephant face protruding out the rocks! Very much enjoyed the day and would defo recommend the full package.
