Definitely worth it. We had a group of 12 who came for a sailing regatta with tight schedules. Shorty was SO much fun as our captain and we had a blast both ways. Thank you! They were already ready when we landed 40 minutes early and called us jist as our bags were coming office gate. For departure, they recommended a really early island pickup, primarily because of US customs takinga very long time. From Road Town, Tortola to St. Thomas airport, including getting the taxi loaded and unloaded and through customs, it took nearly 3 hours. They know what they're doing and they were all super friendly and fun!
Chillout Charters was recommended in another cruise group. We didn't want to do the crowded excursions that Disney offered. I am SO happy I found Chillout Charters and convinced our group of 11 to go in on this! It was really affordable to split between 4 families. We visited the most secluded beaches and had the whole place to ourselves, beautiful blue water with white sand. Our captain Rowan was the best and took us to the best places! He really made the trip extra enjoyable!! They provided snorkel gear on the boat, the kids even got to swim with sea turtles which was a huge surprise and a lifetime memory. Rowan knew the places to see them. It was a smooth ride and exactly the amount of time we booked to get back to the ship by lunch. I'd 100% want to do this again to see other Tortola highlights. One recommendation I have is to walk down the gravel alley way to the dock. We had a map and stuck to the roads which was a little hectic with kids and drivers. Stay on the right side of the sidewalks from the port. That way you don't cross roads. Once you go past the bar there is a fenced grass alley way that will cut the time town. A 3-5 minute walk and really easy. Great communication via email before and during booking. I'd tell my friends and family to do this while in the BVIs!!
We spent an amazing day on the water with Chillout Charters and Captain Rowan, who made the whole experience fun and relaxing. We were on the boat Uber Chill — and that’s exactly what we did all day long! Rowan gave us a great coastal tour of the islands, took us snorkeling at the Caves, and made sure we had time for drinks at Pirate’s Bight on Norman Island. We stopped at Cooper Island to visit the largest rum bar, and of course, we couldn’t miss a stop for lunch (and a jump!) at Willy T’s — the perfect mix of adventure and island fun. All of this with good music, a smooth, fast ride, and plenty of rum drinks to keep the vibe going. Couldn’t have asked for a better captain, boat, or day on the water — highly recommend!
