Board is no longer what it used to be. I used to be a regular at Board, I'd go there once a month with a group of ladies to have brunch and board games. It used to be a nice place with lovely staff, good choice of board games, some nice food and drink options. But for a while now, the menu has been reduced, dishes changed (- not for the best) , some things have also disappeared. Additionally, for the past 3 times we went, we were told there was no more brunch menu just pizza. The place is becoming quite loud , even though it's supposed to be for board games, you can barely hear yourself between the music and the TV and the other people. The bathroom is crumbling, broken doors, locks, dirt, sink barely working, wobbly tables, extremely freezing cold room, the whole place is kinda falling apart and would benefit a deep clean and refurbishment. Seems the nice staff has gone too. It's so unfortunate because it was great concept! I hope they improve things but I doubt it. It just seems to be getting worse and worse, last time we went the fridges had broken down, the app wasn't working, everything was just messier than the last time.
Had an awesome time! The place is super chill, I went with some friends and we were welcomed really warmly by Isabela – she took great care of us and made some amazing cocktails. Big shoutout to the chef too, the pizzas were on point!”
Pizza was nice, drinks were decent though there was a good few times when something was ordered online and the staff would arrive a few mins later to tell us it wasn't available. There was a table quiz on the night we went and that was good fun. There was not enough soft furnishings upstairs so the acoustics were quite loud. I'd return.
