We were a large group of friends first time on the island. Willam and ebony were fantastic skippers and happy to share there knowledge and passion of great barrier. Willam was professional as our skipper but relaxed which made for the perfect day on the water. Lunch was absolutely delicious at the marine education centre...and the carrot cake is a winner too. Steve at glenfern bird sanctuary was a top bloke sharing his enthusiasm and explaining all the hard work that him and his team do, well worth the add on to your trip.Thanks team for making our day exploring a memorable experience.

I would highly recommend this experience when you first get to Great Barrier Island. Firstly, it is a great way to get a sense of the island and topography and you will see dolphins and gannets. Secondly, Chris is the best skipper ever and a superb baker of amazing carrot cake. He is knowlegeable about the area, really friendly and made the day fabulous. In addition, he waited for me as my flight was delayed! Do not miss this!

Had a whale of a time! Amazing experience cruising around the island and witnessed at least six whales. The skipper Chris provided the unique history of the area. The bbq was excellent and paddle boarding while swimming in the crystal clear bays. The skipper is a living legend in the area.

My 3 friends and I had an AMAZING day with Chris on his boat travelling through the bays of Great Barrier Island West coast. On top of having a very functional and safe boat, Chris is an amazing host who shared his knowledge and helped us catching fish all day.
