When we go to a restaurant, we look into customer service and I would say they have a great customer service. Always checking you in and they refill the water without you asking them. The place was great and of course the food most especially the pizza. Been to Italy so i have experienced good pizza and this one was a hit, perfectly done.

First of all, the whiskey and beer tasting tour via (Get Your Guide) was excellent and the staff covered so many aspects of the whiskey and beer making process, we enjoyed it and learned so much and bought one of their prized whiskey. The place was busy for a Monday lunch and I understand why. Lunch at The Heke was fab. The food is delicious and packed full of flavour. The outdoor dining is cozy, with the sun out and the summer breeze adding to the al fresco ambiance. Staff are friendly, and met some Filipino chefs in the kitchen!

We had the best time at Heke! The food was excellent and the beer and whiskey flight exceeded expectations. The property is so beautiful and we got to see a family of ducks walk around as we ate. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very friendly. Also, the whiskey chocolates were out of this world. Top notch experience and a highlight of our Waiheke trip!

Our personal highlight of the day!! Wonderfully varied menu with plenty of exciting options to choose from. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. My personal highlight was the smashed spud with whip and greens, which was an absolute masterpiece. Every bite revealed beautifully balanced nuances and flavors that showed real culinary finesse. So glad we stopped here for lunch!!

What a surprise package!! We had brunch/lunch at Heke Kitchen which ended up being our favourite part of our day trip from Auckland. The food was incredible. Whilst there were many regular options (ie burger & chips, wood fired pizzas, etc) we ate from the ‘seasonal to share’ menu choices. The Crunchy Sichuan Cucumber was especially memorable. I have never had cucumber prepared this way or taste so good. We also had a fresh fish and braised lamb dish with each complimenting the other. To top it off, the staff were very attentive, friendly and fun without being overbearing. My price point included a bottle of bubbles and a couple beers - so good value for money. We’ll be back here on our next trip to Waiheke for sure!
