A pontoon driving lesson is the perfect way to build confidence before taking friends or family out on the lake. Operating a boat is very different from driving a car, and this hands on on the water lesson is designed to help you feel comfortable and in control. Lessons are available on Saturdays and Sundays, or Monday through Friday from 5 pm to 7 pm, making it easy to fit into your schedule.
During this one hour lesson, you will spend real time at the helm learning the fundamentals of pontoon operation. Your instructor will cover basic boating terminology, proper use of the boat’s controls and features, and essential handling skills such as steering, stopping, docking, and maneuvering in open water. The lesson is very interactive and focused on practical experience, so you learn by doing. You are welcome to bring guests along for the ride, but instruction is directed solely to you. By the end of the session, you will be prepared to safely and confidently rent and operate a pontoon on your own.
