“A beautiful hotel in a great location. The rooms are spacious and stylishly furnished. A special highlight: hippos and elephants occasionally wander into the hotel garden — truly a unique experience!”
If you are a light sleeper this hotel is not for you. We were in room 72 and it was very loud till almost 1 am because music was playing next to the hotel. In the am around 6:30 am the noise starts back up again with lots of talking and smashing things around. Not sure where that noise was coming from Helicopters fly all day long, which actually wasn’t bad at all compared to the late night and early morning noise Breakfast had a nice variety and staff good Was not impressed with dinner food or service. (We had a 6:30 reservation, which is early, we wanted to eat outside, they said no and tried to sit us right by the kitchen, we asked to be moved and then proceeded to sit there and watch them serve the table that came in after us with drinks and bread and butter. (Only 4 tables eating at that time) Rooms were very clean and comfortable bed. Air conditioning was on but never felt it. Room was stuffy and you can’t sleep with the windows open because the baboons will come in One positive if you are a walker you can walk to the falls and town
Honestly one of the better hotels I have stayed at in Africa. The rooms were spacious, new and clean. Location of the hotel means everything is in walking distance. The pool and grounds are beautifully maintained. The restaurant was pretty good value and served delicious food. Wifi was good enough for video calls. I would definitely come back here.
